David Armour at Knox on November 12, 2017

Knox is delighted to have David Armour, Director of Philanthropy for the United Church of Canada, preach in our worship service this Sunday.

David’s role in the church is to lift up the theology and practice of philanthropy and financial stewardship as core to our commitment to living out God’s mission in the world. David’s responsibilities include stewardship, Mission and Service giving, legacy giving, PAR promotion, and the work of the United Church of Canada Foundation.

David has headed major fundraising campaigns as Chief Executive Officer of the Canadian Olympic Foundation, as president of the United Way of Canada/Centraide Canada, and as a regional director of the Heart and Stroke Foundation. David has also served as senior advisor to the Université Laval Foundation and has developed two new foundations, the Canadian Medical Foundation and the Canadian Olympic Foundation. David is also a committed volunteer who has given his talents and time to many national organizations, including the Pembina Institute, Food Banks Canada, the Canadian Red Cross, and the Canadian Centre for Philanthropy. He holds a Masters in Management from McGill University and a Bachelor of Science degree from McMaster University.
