On May 23rd and 24th the Knox Board had a retreat with members of the Knox Transition Team. It was held at Mount Saint Francis Retreat Centre near Cochrane and was facilitated by Gervais Goodman.
Everyone really enjoyed the tranquil beauty of the location, when we weren’t working that is.
The purpose of the retreat was spend some time exploring the Transition Team’s recommendations for vision, mission and our intent statement, to discuss the proposed governance model and to explore some next steps on the path of making these documents come alive.
Included in our work was an exploration of Knox’s strengths which many found to be invigorating and inspiring.
It wasn’t all hard work; we took some time out on Saturday for a nature walk led by Julie Walker, who is a truly knowledgeable guide with a passion for nature that she so willingly shared with us.
Here are some photos from the retreat. Thanks to Elizabeth Campbell for those!
