Knox’s Adult Spirituality Committee invites you to attend a session here at Knox on April 01 @ 10:00 – 11:30 AM entitled “Rituals for Living and Dying” facilitated by Sarah Kerr, PhD.
Meaningful ritual is medicine for our souls. Drawing on the wisdom of nature-based spirituality, Sarah designs and facilitates ceremonies that help her clients and their families integrate experiences of death and loss. These rituals honour the spiritual significance of what is happening and bring healing to the living and the dead.
Sarah has a Master’s Degree in Environmental Philosophy, a Masters Certificate in Intuition Medicine and a PhD in Transformative Learning. She has also been a long-time student of cross-cultural shamanism and has studied with many indigenous and western teachers.
Sarah is a visual artist and integrates her painting and mixed media sculptures in her healing work.
Additional information about Sarah may be obtained from the Calgary Herald (Tuesday, June 19, 2014) titled “A DIFFERENT WAY TO DEAL WITH DEATH” by Valerie Fortney and The Walrus Magazine (February 23, 2015) titled “A SOFT GOODBYE” by Nikki Wiart.
