Eye of the Store, a social justice group sponsored by Knox United Church, features discussion about the oil and gas industry, sustainability, and climate change. Many members are employed in the oil and gas industry, so our talks face the difficulty of knowing what to do in the midst of complicated and conflicting scenarios. We are always learning!
In August 2014 some Eye of the Storm members took a road trip to Kitimat along the route of the proposed Northern Gateway Pipeline.
Paul Armstrong, Mary Nokleby, and Reynold Reimer will talk about this on Monday, Sept. 29th, at 7:00 p.m. The meeting will be held in the Parlour at Knox United Church at 506 4th Street S.W.
The presenters will share a short video, report on discussions held with people, and what they learned by listening.
The meeting will include table discussions as well as Q&A, and will demonstrate the respectful story-telling principles that Eye of the Storm follows.
Come to listen, learn, question and talk. Share your opinions as you hear others.
This is a FREE event which is open to all. Refreshments & drinks will be offered. Drop-ins are welcome. For more information contact firstname.lastname@example.org or Knox United Church at 403-269-8382.
