photo of crooked treesAbraham was an old man by the time God told him to lead the people to Canaan. Why him?

God is faithful to his followers, those who fight for righteousness and justice. A living commitment to do what is right.

Abraham is justified by the works that he did for God, but he did not boast about them. Humility without fanfare. He believed in the righteousness of a man. He could do good. A quiet subdued manner of doing the work of God, in Jesus’ name. Because you know it is the right thing to do, even if it is going against the status quo. We are called every day to live a life of faith. Righteousness comes through faith.

Jesus calls us to be the light of the world in all we say and do. Even Nicodemus, the tax collector, when face to face with Jesus, wanted to do the right thing.    ♥
